On April 25, the traditional topping-out ceremony for the Kirchgasse project was celebrated in the presence of 140 guests, the client, the project managers, the tradesmen and companies involved and representatives from the local community and politics.

In his speech, Daniel Keller, Managing Director of Burckhardt Entwicklungen, emphasized the importance of the overall concept: «The Kirchgasse project is a differentiated urban building block that also creates a diverse range of uses.»

The project was developed in close cooperation with the landowner Peha Holding AG, Peter Hasler and the municipality of Reinach. Burckhardt was commissioned with the entire range of services: from project development, including the district planning process, to architecture, realization and marketing.

In the middle of the established village center, on Kirchgasse in Reinach, two apartment buildings with 16 condominiums, service space on the first floor of the point building and a parking garage are being built. The new buildings form the link between the historic village center and the large-scale buildings along the main street: the point building on the main street with its cubic form ties in with the characteristics of Reinach’s central buildings. With its gabled roof, the long building along Kirchgasse echoes the structures of the established village center. Together, the ensemble mediates between the two building structures, demonstrating a presence in the lively street space while at the same time creating protected areas for the residents.

Different target groups are addressed with a range of attractive family apartments through to apartments suitable for the elderly. The new buildings will be certified to Minergie P, while a photovoltaic system on the roof and geothermal probes complement the sustainable energy concept.

Interior work has already begun and the first apartments are due to be occupied in the first quarter of 2025.
