Michaela Holzwarth and Moritz Werner from Burckhardt’s Berlin team opened the BüroINSIGHTS event series at BAU 2023. Together they offered a glimpse into the work of our architectural office. In addition to the well-attended expert talk, there was an inspiring exchange with visitors on what is understood by building culture and about trends and innovations in the construction industry. For the «Architekturfunk» Podcast, Michaela and Moritz were also interviewed at BAU 2023 about the agile, sustainable and multi-site nature of Burckhardt’s working practice. The discussion also addressed how the BIM method can be applied to construction in the built environment.

BAU is the world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. It is taking place in Munich from 17–22 April after a four-year break due to the pandemic. In terms of exhibitors and visitors, it is one of the largest trade fair events in Germany and an important meeting place for the construction industry. International innovations in the planning, design and realization of buildings are presented to an audience of architecture professionals.
