\n US military hospital, Weilerbach\n <\/h1>\n

The largest US military hospital outside the United States is to be built near Ramstein Air Base. With a total of almost 5.000 rooms, the clinic complex incorporates a wide range of medical facilities, ranging from an emergency department to rehabilitation facilities, and from a children\u2019s clinic to a nuclear medicine department. The hospital provides medical care for more than 200.000 US beneficiaries including approximately 60.000 members of the US Kaiserslautern Military Community. In the future, wounded members of the US military in Europe, Africa and Asia will be evacuated to Weilerbach, where they will receive treatment. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n

Thanks to wide-ranging experience in the field of digital construction, working groups for strategy development and the transfer of digitalization knowledge that extend across different locations, Burckhardt has the expertise needed to undertake a large project marked by a high degree of digitalization in both planning and construction. The project is being implemented in a partnering process, i.e. the construction business was involved already at the planning phase. Additionally, this is a fast-track project in which overlapping phases allow the planning and construction preparation phase to be minimized. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the great speed required, the density of information is among the greatest challenges presented by this project. To master the complexity, big data must be broken down precisely to the amount actually needed at each specific point in time. It is only in this way that we can deliver plans, models, and data at the phase when they are required.<\/p>\n\n
