The Ruderholz project in Augst is a new residential development that blends naturally into its surroundings. On June 6, 2024, the topping-out ceremony for the residential development was celebrated in the presence of 180 guests, project managers, craftsmen and representatives from politics and the municipality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tailor-made housing development with high residential quality<\/strong>
On the site of a former sawmill, in the center of Augst and close to the Rhine and Ergolz rivers, three terraced single-family houses and two apartment buildings with 33 condominiums are being built. With features such as the cross-connections and alleyways and the courtyards set back from the road, they build on the qualities of the existing townscape and create a high quality of living in the center of the community with spacious, natural open spaces and contemporary apartments.

\u00abAs project developers, we have developed this contextual settlement module in close consultation with the municipality and the local conservation authority. Our aim was to develop a specific quality of living in the town center with all its advantages\u00bb, explains Kenzo Kr\u00fcger-Heyden, Head of Project Development at Burckhardt Developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the urban development concept to marketing<\/strong>
This project shows just how holistic Burckhardt’s expertise is. Ruderholz is an in-house development, with Burckhardt responsible for everything from the urban development concept to the architecture and management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The strategic planning of Ruderholz began in 2018. Completion is scheduled for fall 2025.
