In November 2022, the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR) launched a competition for a new laboratory building, Building 7, at the RKI on Seestrasse in Berlin.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new laboratory building for the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Building 7, is to be built on the federally owned property Seestra\u00dfe 10 in Berlin-Wedding. The RKI\u2019s Berlin laboratories currently housed in Building 4 are being consolidated at this location for operational reasons. The new building has a special significance as a result of its position in the urban landscape and its integration into the existing building stock. The project places a particular focus on economic and ecological solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burckhardt Berlin achieved an excellent second place among the 24 selected architectural offices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
